Palette Editor

Palette Editor Tool

The palette editor shows a grid of 256 colours representing the maximum palette size of the Next.

Clicking on any of the cells allows you to change the colour using the R, G and B sliders beneath. To the left of the sliders are two colour boxes. The top shows the original colour and the bottom a preview of the modified colour. Once you are happy, you can update the entry using the ✓ button or cancel with the × button.

You may also select multiple contiguous cells by click-dragging within the grid.

The priority checkbox sets a special bit in the palette that determines if any Layer 2 pixel using that colour will always appear over the top of all other layers. (see the Next hardware documentation)
